Printervention / Nashville
19 August 2010

Printervention ( a traveling exhibition I co-organized and curated with Emily Clayton & Ed Marszewski ) will be shown in Nashville in the coming weeks thanks to artist and friend Jes Owings. The show features social and political posters created specifically for the project and draws inspiration from the Works Progress Administration of the 1930’s when artists actually got paid by the government.

Dark Party / Patrol Patrol
25 May 2010
Dark Party is Eliot Lipp and Leo 123. I was excited to do the artwork for their upcoming 12" release on Old Tacoma Records, Patrol Patrol. As I become more and more bored and uninspired by the computer, it was really nice to produce this one all by hand.

PRINTERVENTION, an exhibit of socially aware prints and, will be unveiled this Friday! There are over 70 artists from around the country represented. The prints have finally all trickled in and I am blown away by the quality of the work and couldn't be more excited to be a part of this amazing project.

Big Kitty in Chicago
22 March 2010

Big Kitty is at present a duo consisting of Clark Woodham Williams and Yuriko Emily Hoshino. They were last located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but now they are flung far and wide to various exotic locales, generally nearby their Toyota 4 Runner with a bed in the back where they sleep. Their travels span from the southeast to the west coast and, soon, back again.
Big Kitty is one of my favorites, in fact I did a short interview and EP with him for the last Mule Magazine and its also posted on the Reelfoot Library site.
They will be performing tomorrow night (3/23) at the Whistler with local John Bellows.
